Another Fantastic children's workshop at our wonderful library. Usually the first and third of month but postponed last week due to charity event last week. Native American Art this week, dicussed and imaginatively created along with a funny game for which we made our own dice. Lots of mental calculations and motor skills comning into play! Our next one is 5th November when we'll be creating fantastic firework painty fun.
Fabulous fun entertaining the children and supporting the Yester Dee Music Festival at Rosemount Working Men's Club. Our lovely volunteer Jamie played a set in the acoustic tent, along with lots of other superb local, musical talent. A marvellous £1,500 was raised towards Dee's cancer treatment and a wonderful day was had by all. Thank you to everyone who came, supported, played, donated and enjoyed.
Our first children's workshop of the month was all about Mexican Folk Art, the amazing Frida Kahlo and, of course, a funny game. Our little artist's Frida portraits were incredible and they went to town on the colourful collages using a variety of mixed media to create them. As usual they utilised their imaginations and had free reign so every creation was totally unique. A lovely afternoon :)
What a wonderful sunny day up in the hills at Willows Wags and Whiskers for their Rossendale Responsible Animal Rescue Fundraiser.
Beautiful blue skies and glorious sunshine always makes this charity event an absolute pleasure to particpate in
Lots of friends visited, furry and feathered varieties too and a great day was had by all.
